Accessibility

This accessibility statement explains how BrightGlobe is committed to improving the accessibility of our website, digital learning experiences, content, and events for people with diverse abilities, needs, devices, and ways of interacting.

Effective and last updated: August 10, 2026

Access is part of good learning design.

BrightGlobe serves learners, readers, participants, educators, speakers, and communities with different abilities and access needs. We want people to be able to discover what BrightGlobe offers, navigate our website, access learning materials, and participate in our programs as independently and effectively as reasonably possible.

Accessibility is an ongoing practice rather than a one-time website feature. As BrightGlobe grows, we intend to review and improve the accessibility of our digital and in-person experiences.

01 · Commitment

Our accessibility statement and commitment

BrightGlobe is owned and operated by Nedlegs Incorporated. We aim to make BrightGlobe's website, learning experiences, publications, communications, and events accessible to as many people as reasonably possible.

We recognize that people may experience barriers related to vision, hearing, mobility, dexterity, speech, cognition, learning, neurodiversity, technology, language, or other circumstances. Accessibility needs can also be permanent, temporary, situational, or change over time.

Perceivable

Important information should not depend unnecessarily on only one sensory format.

Operable

People should be able to navigate and interact using different input methods where reasonably possible.

Understandable

Content, instructions, navigation, and interactions should aim to be clear and predictable.

Robust

Digital content should work reasonably well with current browsers, devices, and assistive technologies.

02 · Standards

Standards that guide us

BrightGlobe aims to progressively align its public-facing digital experiences with widely recognized accessibility principles, including the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), with WCAG Level AA serving as a practical reference point for our accessibility work where applicable.

This statement of direction should not be interpreted as a claim that every BrightGlobe page, document, course, third-party integration, or historical resource currently conforms fully with every WCAG success criterion.

We prefer an honest commitment over an unsupported compliance claim. BrightGlobe is building and improving its digital ecosystem. We will work toward stronger accessibility rather than declaring perfect conformance before the website and future learning platforms have been comprehensively tested.

03 · Website

Website accessibility

In designing and maintaining brightglobe.academy, we aim to consider accessibility practices such as:

  • clear page structure and meaningful heading hierarchy;
  • readable typography and sufficient text sizing;
  • reasonable color contrast between text and backgrounds;
  • descriptive link and button labels;
  • keyboard-accessible navigation and interactive elements where supported;
  • visible focus states for keyboard interaction;
  • alternative text for meaningful images where appropriate;
  • responsive layouts that work across different screen sizes;
  • avoiding unnecessary reliance on color alone to communicate essential information;
  • clear instructions, error messages, and form labels where forms are used; and
  • semantic HTML and accessible markup where reasonably practicable.

The website is built using WordPress and Elementor Pro together with custom front-end components and third-party tools. Accessibility is considered both in the visual design and in the underlying implementation where we control it.

04 · Content

Documents, readings, and learning materials

BrightGlobe may provide PDFs, slides, worksheets, workbooks, articles, ebooks, images, diagrams, and other learning resources. We aim to improve the accessibility of newly created materials and to provide reasonable alternatives when an important resource presents an accessibility barrier.

Some materials may have limitations because of their format, age, design, source file, copyright restrictions, or because they were created by a third party. Where feasible, we may provide an alternative format, equivalent information, or another reasonable way to access the essential content.

05 · Media

Video, audio, captions, and transcripts

Video and audio are expected to become important parts of BrightGlobe's learning ecosystem, particularly for webinars and on-demand courses.

For newly produced educational video content, BrightGlobe aims to progressively incorporate accessibility measures such as captions, transcripts, readable on-screen text, clear audio, and verbal explanation of important visual information where appropriate to the learning objective.

Automated captions may be used as part of the production workflow, but automated transcription can contain errors. For important learning content, we aim to improve caption and transcript accuracy where reasonably practicable.

Audio description or other alternatives for highly visual material may be considered where the visual information is essential and cannot be adequately understood from the ordinary narration or accompanying materials.

06 · On-Demand Learning

Accessibility of on-demand courses

BrightGlobe plans to offer on-demand and self-paced learning. Accessibility considerations for these experiences may include the course player, navigation, video, audio, captions, transcripts, downloadable materials, quizzes, assessments, interactive components, and learner support.

We aim to select and configure learning technologies with accessibility in mind. However, some functionality may depend on the accessibility capabilities of the learning-management system, video host, payment platform, or other third-party technology used to deliver the course.

If an enrolled learner encounters a barrier that prevents meaningful access to essential course content, we encourage the learner to contact us so that we can explore a reasonable alternative or accommodation.

07 · Live Online

Webinars and live virtual learning

Live online programs may be delivered through external videoconferencing, webinar, streaming, or learning platforms. Available accessibility features can vary by platform and event configuration.

Depending on the program and available technology, accessibility support may include captions, chat-based participation, advance materials, recordings, transcripts, or other reasonable alternatives.

If you require a particular accommodation for a live virtual program, please contact us before the session whenever possible so that we have time to review available options.

08 · In Person

Accessibility at physical events

BrightGlobe may organize courses, workshops, masterclasses, book events, conferences, forums, talks, and other in-person gatherings at venues that we own, operate, rent, partner with, or temporarily use.

Physical accessibility can vary significantly by venue. When planning events, we aim to consider relevant factors such as accessible entrances, elevators or step-free routes, seating arrangements, restrooms, stage or room access, acoustics, lighting, and other practical accessibility considerations where reasonably possible.

Where venue accessibility information is material to participation, we will aim to make relevant information available or respond to participant questions before the event.

Some accessibility features are controlled by the venue rather than BrightGlobe. We will nevertheless try to work constructively with venues and participants on reasonable requests.

09 · Accommodations

Requesting an accommodation

If you need an accommodation to access a BrightGlobe program, course, event, website feature, or learning resource, please contact us. You do not need to provide more personal or medical information than is reasonably necessary for us to understand the barrier and evaluate possible accommodations.

Helpful information may include:

  • the course, event, page, or resource concerned;
  • the accessibility barrier you are experiencing;
  • the accommodation or alternative format that would help, if known;
  • the date of the program or event, if relevant; and
  • how we can contact you about the request.

Please make time-sensitive requests as early as reasonably possible. Some accommodations require coordination with venues, facilitators, interpreters, captioning providers, technology platforms, publishers, or other third parties.

Accessibility request

Tell us what you are trying to access and what would make participation easier. We will review the request and discuss what can reasonably be provided.

10 · Third Parties

Third-party platforms and services

BrightGlobe relies on external technology and service providers for some functions. These may include learning platforms, video hosting, videoconferencing, email services, payment systems, booking tools, maps, embedded media, social networks, retailers, and other digital services.

We do not control every aspect of the accessibility of independent third-party platforms. Where a third-party service creates a significant barrier to an essential BrightGlobe service, we encourage you to tell us so that we can assess available alternatives or workarounds where reasonably possible.

Some BrightGlobe service transactions may be processed through The Trove Place, while books and physical products may be available through HarborPoint Store. Both are commerce brands of Simplicitive Ventures, Inc. and may have their own website accessibility practices.

11 · Limitations

Where accessibility may still be limited

Despite our efforts, some content or functionality may not yet be fully accessible. Possible limitations may include:

  • older documents or media created before current accessibility practices were adopted;
  • third-party embeds, plugins, course platforms, or payment interfaces;
  • complex diagrams, charts, or highly visual educational material;
  • archived or externally supplied publications;
  • live event environments with venue-specific limitations; or
  • new website functionality that has not yet undergone accessibility review.

Identifying a limitation does not mean we consider it acceptable permanently. It helps us prioritize improvements and provide alternatives when possible.

12 · Feedback

Tell us when something is difficult to access

Accessibility feedback is useful. If you encounter a page, button, document, video, course feature, booking process, or event experience that is difficult or impossible to use because of an accessibility barrier, please tell us.

When reporting a digital issue, including the page address, device or browser, assistive technology if relevant, and a short description of what happened can help us investigate. You are not required to disclose a disability or diagnosis simply to report an accessibility problem.

13 · Improvement

Accessibility is ongoing

BrightGlobe is a growing learning, publishing, and events platform. New courses, pages, videos, documents, booking systems, and technology will continue to be added.

We intend to incorporate accessibility into that growth through design choices, content-production practices, technology selection, periodic review, user feedback, and remediation of significant barriers that we identify.

Our goal is practical access, not merely a policy page. As BrightGlobe develops its on-demand academy, accessibility should become part of the course-production workflow itself, including video captions, transcripts, accessible documents, readable interfaces, keyboard navigation, and thoughtful alternatives for essential visual or interactive learning.

14 · Contact
