What this policy covers
This Intellectual Property & Copyright Policy applies to original or licensed content made available by or through BrightGlobe, including content on brightglobe.academy and materials supplied in connection with BrightGlobe learning programs, events, publishing activities, and digital offerings.
Protected or licensed materials may include:
- on-demand and self-paced courses;
- live and recorded courses, masterclasses, workshops, and webinars;
- video and audio lessons, lectures, interviews, and recordings;
- slides, presentations, workbooks, worksheets, exercises, and templates;
- curricula, lesson structures, learning activities, and assessments;
- original frameworks, models, diagrams, terminology, and teaching materials;
- books, excerpts, articles, publications, and downloadable resources;
- website text, photographs, illustrations, graphics, and design elements;
- logos, brand names, marks, and other brand assets; and
- other original or licensed educational, publishing, and event content.
Who owns the content
BrightGlobe is owned and operated by Nedlegs Incorporated. Unless otherwise identified, original BrightGlobe materials are owned by Nedlegs Incorporated or are used by BrightGlobe under an appropriate license, permission, agreement, or other lawful basis.
Some courses, presentations, publications, photographs, videos, guest materials, or other content may remain the intellectual property of their respective authors, educators, speakers, publishers, partners, licensors, or other rights holders. Their inclusion in a BrightGlobe offering does not transfer their ownership to participants.
Copyright and other intellectual property rights arise and are protected in accordance with applicable law. A copyright notice is not required for material to be protected.
What you receive when you buy an on-demand course
Unless the applicable course page or agreement expressly provides otherwise, purchasing or enrolling in a BrightGlobe on-demand course gives the registered learner a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and non-sublicensable license to access and use the course for legitimate personal learning purposes during the access period associated with that course.
You are purchasing authorized access to the learning experience. You are not purchasing the copyright, source files, master recordings, curriculum ownership, publication rights, redistribution rights, or commercial exploitation rights in the course.
One enrollment is for one learner unless we say otherwise. A personal course purchase does not authorize an office, class, organization, team, or other group to share one account or collectively use one paid enrollment. Group or institutional access can be arranged separately.
What you may do
Subject to the terms of the particular offering, you may generally:
- watch or listen to course content through the authorized platform;
- read and study materials supplied to you as part of your enrollment;
- download resources that BrightGlobe expressly makes available for download;
- complete worksheets, exercises, assessments, and learning activities for your own use;
- take your own notes and apply what you learn in your personal or professional practice;
- refer to BrightGlobe ideas or materials in legitimate discussion, scholarship, commentary, or other uses permitted by law, with appropriate attribution where applicable; and
- use a resource in another manner where BrightGlobe or the relevant rights holder has expressly granted permission.
Permission to apply knowledge or concepts learned in a course does not mean that copyrighted expression, branded frameworks, proprietary course materials, or substantial portions of the course itself may be copied or repackaged.
What you may not do without permission
Except where applicable law permits the use or BrightGlobe or the relevant rights holder gives written authorization, you may not:
- copy, reproduce, republish, or redistribute substantial course materials;
- upload paid or restricted materials to websites, cloud drives, social media, file-sharing services, learning platforms, or public repositories;
- sell, rent, sublicense, or commercially redistribute course access or materials;
- share your paid account, login credentials, private access links, or participant-only resources with unauthorized users;
- screen-record, capture, rip, download, or otherwise reproduce streaming video or audio when no download function or permission is provided;
- remove copyright notices, watermarks, credits, attribution, rights-management information, or branding;
- translate, adapt, reproduce, or create derivative versions of protected materials for distribution without authorization, except where permitted by law;
- use BrightGlobe materials as the substantial basis of an unauthorized course, seminar, workshop, training product, publication, or commercial resource;
- present BrightGlobe materials as your own work or imply endorsement, partnership, certification, or affiliation that does not exist; or
- circumvent technological or access controls intended to protect restricted content.
Videos, audio, webinars, and recorded lessons
On-demand videos, recorded webinars, lectures, interviews, demonstrations, audio lessons, and similar media are protected content. Streaming access does not by itself include a right to download or retain a permanent copy.
If BrightGlobe provides an official download feature, the downloaded material remains subject to the license and restrictions stated for the course or resource.
Participants may not independently record live or virtual BrightGlobe sessions unless recording is expressly permitted. This protects intellectual property, participant privacy, and the integrity of the learning environment.
Workbooks, slides, templates, and downloads
A downloadable workbook, worksheet, slide deck, template, checklist, reading, handout, or similar resource is provided under the terms accompanying the resource or, if none are stated, for the enrolled participant's personal learning use.
Downloadable does not mean copyright-free. Unless expressly authorized, a downloadable resource may not be posted publicly, distributed to colleagues or students, sold, incorporated substantially into another product, or uploaded to a shared repository.
Course accounts and access credentials
Course logins, passwords, enrollment links, access tokens, and similar credentials are intended only for the authorized learner or users covered by the applicable license.
BrightGlobe may investigate unusual access patterns or restrict access where there is reasonable evidence of unauthorized account sharing, systematic copying, credential resale, circumvention of access controls, or other material misuse.
Any restriction will be applied reasonably and subject to the applicable Terms of Use and consumer rights.
Frameworks, models, methods, and original teaching systems
BrightGlobe may teach original or licensed frameworks, models, diagrams, methodologies, terminology, processes, and structured learning systems. Different intellectual property rights may protect different elements of these works.
Learners are encouraged to understand and apply what they learn. However, applying an idea is different from copying the protected expression of a framework, reproducing its branded materials, or repackaging a substantial portion of a proprietary teaching system as one's own product.
Where a framework has specific attribution, licensing, certification, trainer, or commercial-use requirements, those requirements must be observed.
Books and publications
Books, ebooks, articles, excerpts, and other publications featured or sold through BrightGlobe remain protected by the copyright and licensing terms applicable to each publication.
Buying a physical or digital book does not transfer copyright in the work. Quotation, reproduction, classroom use, adaptation, translation, public distribution, and other uses remain subject to applicable law and any permissions required from the rights holder.
Physical books may be sold or fulfilled through HarborPoint Store, a product-commerce brand of Simplicitive Ventures, Inc., or through authorized retailers and distributors. The seller of a copy does not thereby acquire ownership of the copyright in the underlying work.
Teachers, schools, companies, and institutional use
We welcome legitimate educational and institutional interest in BrightGlobe materials, but an individual enrollment or copy does not automatically create a group, classroom, corporate, library, training, or institutional license.
If you would like to use BrightGlobe course materials in a class, reproduce resources for students, train employees using our materials, screen content to a group, license a framework, purchase multiple learner seats, or arrange another institutional use, please contact us.
Artificial intelligence, datasets, and automated extraction
Unless expressly permitted by BrightGlobe or the relevant rights holder, paid, restricted, or participant-only BrightGlobe materials may not be systematically extracted, scraped, copied, uploaded, or assembled into datasets for the purpose of training, fine-tuning, evaluating, or supplying an artificial intelligence model or other automated content system.
You may use ordinary digital tools, including AI-enabled tools, to support your own learning where doing so does not require unauthorized disclosure or reproduction of protected or confidential course materials and does not violate the rules of the particular learning activity.
BrightGlobe may establish more specific AI-use rules for assignments, assessments, confidential materials, licensed third-party content, or particular courses.
Your assignments and original work
Participants generally retain ownership of original work they create and submit in connection with a BrightGlobe learning experience, subject to any different terms expressly agreed for a particular project, commissioned work, competition, collaborative activity, or program.
Submitting an assignment or workshop output for evaluation does not automatically transfer copyright ownership to BrightGlobe.
BrightGlobe will not treat identifiable participant work as its own or publish it publicly for promotional or commercial purposes merely because it was submitted for a course. If we would like to feature a participant's work, testimonial, or story, we will seek appropriate permission or rely on another lawful basis where applicable.
Participants are responsible for ensuring that work they submit does not unlawfully infringe the intellectual property, privacy, confidentiality, or other rights of third parties.
Materials owned by others
A BrightGlobe course or event may include properly licensed, quoted, referenced, linked, or otherwise lawfully used material belonging to another rights holder. Such material remains subject to the rights and conditions applicable to that third party.
BrightGlobe's ability to display or use third-party material does not necessarily give participants the right to separately reproduce, distribute, adapt, or commercially use it.
Names, logos, and trademarks
BrightGlobe names, logos, visual identities, program names, and other source-identifying brand assets may be protected by trademark, copyright, unfair competition, or other applicable laws.
You may refer to BrightGlobe accurately in ordinary speech, commentary, reporting, citation, or discussion. You may not use BrightGlobe branding in a manner that falsely suggests sponsorship, endorsement, certification, partnership, or official affiliation.
When to ask us first
Please request permission before using protected BrightGlobe material in ways that go beyond your authorized course access or uses otherwise permitted by law. Examples include:
- reprinting substantial material in another publication;
- using course slides or videos in another training program;
- translating or adapting a protected resource for distribution;
- licensing materials for a company, school, or organization;
- commercially reproducing a framework, diagram, or learning resource; or
- requesting media, publishing, anthology, or other reuse rights.
Permission may be granted, denied, limited, or made subject to attribution, licensing fees, audience limits, duration, territory, or other reasonable terms.
If you believe your work appears here improperly
BrightGlobe respects the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe content made available through BrightGlobe infringes your copyright or other intellectual property rights, please contact us with enough information to review the concern.
Please include, where applicable:
- your name and contact information;
- identification of the work or right you believe is affected;
- the BrightGlobe page, course, or material concerned;
- an explanation of the issue;
- information supporting your ownership or authority to act for the rights holder; and
- any other information reasonably necessary to investigate the claim.
We will review good-faith notices and take appropriate action where warranted.
How we may respond to misuse
If BrightGlobe reasonably determines that protected content or course access is being materially misused, we may take proportionate steps such as requesting removal, restricting unauthorized access, suspending affected credentials, contacting the relevant platform, or pursuing remedies available under contract or law.
Serious or repeated infringement may result in termination of course access without restoring rights already consumed or services already delivered, subject to applicable law and the terms of the relevant transaction.
Nothing in this policy is intended to prohibit legitimate quotation, criticism, review, scholarship, research, news reporting, classroom use, or other exceptions and limitations recognized by applicable law.
Philippine intellectual property law
This policy is intended to operate consistently with the intellectual property laws of the Republic of the Philippines, including the Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines, as amended, together with applicable international obligations and other relevant laws.
Nothing in this policy is intended to claim rights beyond those recognized by law or to remove statutory exceptions, limitations, or lawful uses available to users.
Permissions and intellectual property inquiries
