What this policy covers
This Refund Policy applies primarily to paid BrightGlobe learning programs and experiences, including courses, masterclasses, workshops, webinars, conferences, forums, talks, and other bookable events, unless specific terms state otherwise.
BrightGlobe is owned and operated by Nedlegs Incorporated. Service transactions may be processed through The Trove Place, a commerce service of Simplicitive Ventures, Inc., or through another authorized payment or booking provider.
This policy should be read together with our Booking & Cancellation Policy, Terms of Use, and Privacy Policy.
Our general approach
Refund eligibility depends on the nature of the offering, when the cancellation request is received, whether delivery has begun, costs or commitments already incurred, and any offering-specific conditions disclosed before purchase.
More options may be available when a cancellation is made sufficiently in advance.
Refunds may be reduced or unavailable where capacity and program costs have already been committed.
Completed or substantially delivered services are generally not refundable unless required by law or otherwise stated.
We deliberately do not apply one universal percentage or deadline to every BrightGlobe offering. A small webinar, a multi-session course, and a limited-seat in-person masterclass can involve very different commitments. The applicable cancellation and refund terms will therefore be identified for the relevant offering where specific rules are necessary.
If you cancel your booking
If you need to cancel, contact BrightGlobe as soon as possible. The date and time at which we receive a valid cancellation request may be used to determine eligibility under the applicable refund conditions.
Depending on the offering and timing, BrightGlobe may provide one of the following:
- a full refund;
- a partial refund;
- a credit toward another eligible BrightGlobe offering;
- a transfer to another available schedule;
- an approved participant substitution; or
- no refund where the applicable cancellation period has passed or the service has already been delivered.
The availability of one remedy does not automatically mean that all alternatives are available.
Costs that may be non-refundable
Certain amounts may be identified before purchase as non-refundable where they relate to costs or benefits that are committed, personalized, consumed, or delivered regardless of attendance.
Depending on the offering, these may include:
- clearly disclosed registration or administrative fees;
- personalized, printed, shipped, or participant-specific materials;
- books or physical items already fulfilled or dispatched;
- third-party charges that are expressly disclosed and lawfully non-refundable;
- digital resources already supplied where applicable terms permit; or
- other non-refundable components clearly identified before booking.
A fee or component will not be treated as non-refundable merely because it is convenient to label it that way. Any restriction remains subject to applicable consumer law and the circumstances of the transaction.
Credits, transfers, and substitutions
When a cash refund is unavailable or not preferred, an offering may permit a credit, transfer to another schedule, or substitution of another eligible participant.
These alternatives are subject to availability, eligibility, deadlines, price differences, and any conditions stated for the offering. Credits may have a stated validity period when disclosed at the time they are issued.
Transfers, credits, and substitutions require BrightGlobe's confirmation and cannot be assumed simply because a participant cannot attend.
If you do not attend
A participant who does not attend a confirmed program or event and has not cancelled within the applicable period is generally considered a no-show.
Unless the offering states otherwise or applicable law requires a different result, no-shows are generally not eligible for a refund, credit, transfer, or replacement session because the place was reserved and delivery was made available to the participant.
Programs that have already started
Once a course, program, workshop, masterclass, webinar, event, or other service has begun, refund eligibility may be limited.
For multi-session programs, withdrawal after the program starts does not automatically entitle the participant to a refund for unattended sessions. Any available refund, credit, or transfer will depend on the terms disclosed for that program, the portion already delivered, and applicable law.
Accessing substantial digital course materials, recordings, or other benefits may also affect refund eligibility where this was clearly disclosed before purchase and is permitted by law.
If BrightGlobe cancels
If BrightGlobe cancels a paid offering and does not provide the contracted service or a mutually accepted alternative, affected participants will generally be entitled to an appropriate remedy, which may include a refund of the amount paid for the undelivered BrightGlobe offering.
Depending on the circumstances, we may first offer a rescheduled date, transfer, credit, or another reasonable alternative. You will be informed of the options applicable to the cancellation.
Separate participant expenses. Unless BrightGlobe expressly agreed otherwise in writing or applicable law requires otherwise, a refund for a cancelled BrightGlobe offering does not ordinarily include independently arranged airfare, accommodation, local transportation, visa costs, lost income, or other personal expenses.
If an offering changes materially
Minor operational changes, such as a room change or reasonable adjustment to the program sequence, do not ordinarily create a refund entitlement.
If BrightGlobe makes a change that materially alters the nature of a paid offering, we will communicate with affected participants and provide an appropriate option based on the circumstances, which may include proceeding with the revised offering, transferring, receiving credit, or receiving a refund where appropriate.
Events beyond reasonable control
Severe weather, natural disasters, public emergencies, government restrictions, transport disruption, venue closure, widespread utility or telecommunications failure, security incidents, and similar circumstances may make normal delivery impossible or unsafe.
BrightGlobe may respond by postponing, relocating, modifying, moving an offering online where appropriate, or cancelling it. Available remedies will be determined reasonably in light of the circumstances, services already delivered, recoverable and committed costs where legally relevant, contractual obligations, and applicable law.
Online programs and technical issues
Individual internet, device, browser, software, or connectivity problems outside systems controlled by BrightGlobe do not automatically qualify for a refund.
If a significant technical failure within systems controlled by BrightGlobe prevents delivery of a material portion of a paid online offering, we may provide a replacement session, recording where appropriate, credit, refund, or another reasonable remedy.
Physical books and other products
This Refund Policy primarily covers BrightGlobe learning and event bookings. Physical books and other products may be sold or fulfilled through HarborPoint Store, a product-commerce brand of Simplicitive Ventures, Inc., or through independent authorized retailers and distributors.
Product returns and refunds are governed by the policies applicable at the store or retailer where the purchase was completed, together with applicable consumer law. This may include separate procedures for damaged, defective, incorrect, or undelivered items.
Please refer to the terms shown at the relevant product checkout rather than using this service-refund policy as the sole basis for a physical-product claim.
Discounts, vouchers, and promotional bookings
If a refundable booking was purchased at a discounted price, any approved refund will normally be based on the amount actually paid, not the regular or later advertised price.
Promotional codes, vouchers, complimentary registrations, scholarships, partner allocations, and similar benefits may have separate conditions. A complimentary booking has no cash refund value unless expressly stated otherwise.
Corporate, school, group, and institutional engagements
Commissioned programs, private workshops, institutional events, corporate learning engagements, group reservations, and similar arrangements may require deposits and advance commitments that differ from individual bookings.
Their cancellation and refund terms may therefore be set out in a proposal, quotation, purchase order, agreement, contract, or other written arrangement. Those specific agreed terms govern the engagement to the extent they differ from this general policy.
How to request a refund
To request a refund, email BrightGlobe using the contact details below. Please provide enough information for us to identify and review the transaction, including:
- the participant or purchaser's name;
- the email address used for the booking;
- the course, program, event, or transaction concerned;
- the booking or transaction reference, if available;
- the date of purchase or payment; and
- a brief explanation of the request.
We may request reasonable additional information when needed to verify the transaction, prevent fraud, or determine the applicable terms.
How approved refunds are processed
Approved refunds will normally be returned through the original payment method where practicable, or through another method reasonably determined by the relevant commerce or payment provider.
BrightGlobe may initiate an approved refund promptly after completing the necessary review, but the time for funds to appear in your account can depend on banks, card issuers, e-wallets, payment gateways, and other financial-service providers outside BrightGlobe's control.
Where a transaction was completed through another authorized seller or platform, the refund may need to be requested or processed through that seller or platform.
Your statutory rights remain intact
Nothing in this policy is intended to remove, reduce, or waive a refund, remedy, warranty, or other consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable Philippine law.
If the service delivered is materially different from what was represented, is not provided as agreed, or another legally protected circumstance applies, your rights will be assessed under applicable law regardless of a general "non-refundable" designation.
Fairness matters. This policy is designed to protect both participants and BrightGlobe. We will apply it reasonably and in good faith, taking into account the actual circumstances of a request and any rights provided by law.
Questions or refund requests
If you are unsure which refund condition applies, contact us before cancelling or making another booking. We can review the specific offering and transaction.
