Acceptance of these Terms
These Terms of Use ("Terms") apply to your access to and use of the BrightGlobe website and the content, features, information, and services made available through it.
By accessing or using the website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and to any policies expressly incorporated into them. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or the affected service.
About BrightGlobe
BrightGlobe is a customer-facing learning, publishing, and events brand owned and operated by Nedlegs Incorporated.
BrightGlobe may offer or feature courses, masterclasses, workshops, webinars, talks, forums, conferences, book-related activities, publications, physical books, and other educational or cultural experiences.
Certain commerce functions may be provided through a separate company, Simplicitive Ventures, Inc., including through HarborPoint Store for product commerce and The Trove Place for service commerce, courses, events, or bookings. Where a transaction takes place on another platform or through a separate entity, the applicable checkout terms, policies, and notices presented there may also govern that transaction.
Eligibility and account information
You are responsible for ensuring that information you provide when registering, booking, purchasing, subscribing, or communicating with BrightGlobe is accurate, current, and complete.
If a particular offering requires an account, login credential, access link, enrollment code, or similar credential, you are responsible for keeping it secure and for not sharing restricted access except where BrightGlobe expressly permits it.
Some programs or events may have age, prerequisite, professional, institutional, geographic, or other eligibility requirements. These will be identified where applicable.
Courses, programs, events, and books
Descriptions, schedules, speakers, facilitators, venues, formats, inclusions, prices, availability, and other details are provided in good faith and may be updated when reasonably necessary.
Participation in a BrightGlobe course, masterclass, workshop, webinar, event, or other learning experience does not guarantee any particular academic, professional, employment, financial, business, or personal outcome.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, BrightGlobe programs are independent learning experiences and should not be understood as accredited academic degrees, government-recognized qualifications, professional licenses, or formal certifications issued by another institution or regulatory body.
Books and other products may be subject to separate product descriptions, availability, shipping arrangements, retailer terms, and return or refund conditions.
Bookings, payments, cancellations, and refunds
When you enroll, register, book, or purchase, you agree to pay the price and applicable charges displayed or communicated for the relevant offering and to provide the information reasonably required to complete the transaction.
Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers or commerce platforms. BrightGlobe does not necessarily receive or store your complete payment-card credentials. Your payment provider may impose its own terms and privacy practices.
Program and event bookings may also be governed by BrightGlobe's Booking & Cancellation Policy and Refund Policy. Product purchases may be subject to the policies of the store, retailer, distributor, fulfillment provider, or commerce platform through which the transaction is completed.
Please review the conditions shown at the point of booking or purchase. Offering-specific conditions, including deadlines, transfer rules, inclusions, and refund eligibility, form part of the terms applicable to that transaction.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use the website, BrightGlobe services, or program resources to:
- violate applicable law or the rights of another person or organization;
- attempt unauthorized access to the website, systems, accounts, or restricted materials;
- introduce malicious code or deliberately interfere with website operation or security;
- scrape, harvest, copy, or systematically extract content or personal information in an unauthorized manner;
- misrepresent your identity or affiliation, commit fraud, or submit deliberately false information;
- harass, threaten, abuse, or materially disrupt participants, speakers, facilitators, staff, partners, or other users;
- redistribute paid, restricted, or participant-only materials without permission; or
- use BrightGlobe content or services in a manner that infringes intellectual property or other legal rights.
BrightGlobe may restrict or terminate access to a website feature, program, event, or restricted resource where reasonably necessary to address serious misuse, security concerns, unlawful conduct, or material breach of applicable terms.
Our content and intellectual property
Unless otherwise indicated, the BrightGlobe website and original materials made available through it, including text, graphics, branding, logos, designs, curricula, learning materials, presentations, frameworks, recordings, photographs, videos, downloads, and other content, are owned by or licensed to Nedlegs Incorporated or the relevant rights holder and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Access to content does not transfer ownership or intellectual property rights to you. You may use materials for your own lawful personal or authorized educational use to the extent permitted by BrightGlobe and applicable law.
You may not reproduce, publish, sell, sublicense, commercially exploit, modify, distribute, publicly post, or create unauthorized derivative works from protected BrightGlobe materials unless you have written permission or the use is otherwise permitted by law.
Additional details are provided in our Intellectual Property & Copyright Policy.
Content and materials you submit
You retain ownership of original material that you submit to BrightGlobe, such as assignments, workshop outputs, questions, comments, applications, proposals, or other participant-created content, subject to any specific terms disclosed for the relevant activity.
You are responsible for ensuring that material you submit is yours to share and does not unlawfully infringe another person's intellectual property, privacy, confidentiality, or other rights.
Submission of material does not automatically give BrightGlobe the right to publish it publicly for promotional or commercial purposes. If BrightGlobe wishes to feature identifiable participant work, testimonials, or similar material beyond what is reasonably necessary to administer the activity, appropriate permission or another applicable legal basis will be obtained where required.
Third-party websites and services
BrightGlobe may link to or integrate services operated by third parties, including payment providers, commerce platforms, email services, video-conferencing tools, analytics services, social networks, retailers, ticketing or booking systems, and partner organizations.
A link or integration does not mean BrightGlobe controls the third party. Your use of an external service may be governed by that provider's own terms, privacy policy, fees, availability, and practices. BrightGlobe is not responsible for independent third-party websites or services except to the extent responsibility cannot lawfully be excluded.
Accuracy and educational information
We aim to keep website information useful and current, but information may occasionally contain typographical errors, become outdated, or change after publication. BrightGlobe may correct or update website content without prior notice where appropriate.
Educational content is provided for learning and informational purposes. Unless expressly stated otherwise, it should not be treated as individualized legal, medical, tax, investment, financial, or other regulated professional advice.
Availability, changes, and interruptions
We may modify, suspend, replace, or discontinue website features or content. We may also make reasonable changes to an offering when circumstances require, including changes involving schedule, venue, delivery format, facilitator, speaker, or program logistics.
Where a material change affects a paid booking, BrightGlobe will apply the relevant booking, cancellation, or refund terms and any rights available under applicable law.
We do not guarantee that the website or every digital service will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or available on every device or network.
Reasonable limitations and disclaimers
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the website and general website content are provided on an "as available" basis. We do not make guarantees that go beyond commitments expressly stated for a particular paid offering.
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties, remedies, consumer rights, privacy rights, or other protections that cannot lawfully be waived or limited.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Nedlegs Incorporated and BrightGlobe will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising solely from use of, or inability to use, the website or freely available website content.
This limitation does not apply where liability cannot legally be excluded or limited, and it does not remove rights or remedies available to consumers or data subjects under applicable Philippine law.
Responsibility for misuse
You are responsible for losses or claims arising from your unlawful use of the website, deliberate infringement of another person's rights, fraud, or material breach of these Terms, to the extent recognized by applicable law.
Nothing in this section is intended to impose liability on a user beyond what is permitted under applicable law or to override mandatory consumer protections.
Privacy and personal data
BrightGlobe processes personal information in connection with website use, inquiries, subscriptions, registrations, bookings, events, purchases, and other interactions. Our practices are described in the BrightGlobe Privacy Policy.
By using BrightGlobe services, you acknowledge that personal information will be handled as described in applicable privacy notices and in accordance with applicable data-protection requirements.
Philippine law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without prejudice to mandatory rights or protections that may apply to you.
If a concern arises, we encourage you to contact BrightGlobe first so that we can try to resolve it reasonably and in good faith. Nothing in these Terms prevents either party from using remedies, complaint mechanisms, regulators, courts, or other forums available under applicable law.
Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms as BrightGlobe's website, offerings, technology, commerce arrangements, or legal obligations evolve. The current version will be posted on this page with an updated effective or revision date.
Where a change materially affects an existing paid transaction or requires additional notice under applicable law, we will provide appropriate notice.
